Created with a strategic balance of marjoram, peppermint, black pepper, sweet birch, chamomile, and cayenne, this balm contains a hot-cold hybrid of essences, which alternately warm and cool tense muscles.
The heat of cayenne and black pepper warms and unwinds while cooling sweet birch and peppermint feels nice, like ice.
If your muscles are roaring, tame the beast with a few drops of Feeling the Shoulder of the Lion Muscle Melt Balm.

Juice up your joints and unknot taut muscles with a dab of this soothing-solution. Apply to areas to melt muscles, unravel aches, and transform tension in the neck, shoulders, spine, knees, back, or any area pleading for some TLC.

Natural/Organic Ingredients

Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis) – Packed with phenolic compounds, tocopherols, and every soluble form of vitamin E, jojoba is nature’s most effective moisturizer. Since it’s so close in composition to the skin’s own natural oils, it is easily absorbed and able to deliver endless moisture to thirsty tissue.

Beeswax (Cera alba) – Bees buzz with a protective, porous wax that locks moisture in and keeps toxins out. Beeswax forms a smooth, invisible coating on your lips, providing a barrier of nourishment against harsh elements.

Marjoram Oil (Origanum marjorana) – Marjoram has been used to purify body, mind, and spirit since Biblical times. Steam distilled to capture the medicinal powers of this fragrant herb, marjoram soothes and stabilizes while protecting the body and mind from the stressful effects of external environmental stimuli. Extreme emotions, sleeplessness, and tension are all brought back into balance with the calming power of marjoram, which was used by the Greeks and Romans to invoke states of enlightened peace.

Peppermint Oil (Mentha peperita) – Bursting with minty freshness and powerful plant properties, peppermint’s cooling qualities are key in this blend’s ability to pacify throbs, lull ligaments, and tranquil tension. Black Pepper Oil (Piper nigrum) – Pungent pepper possesses plenty of phytochemicals including terpinoid hydrocarbons, piperine, pinene, caryophyllene, limonene, sabinene, phellandrene, oleoresins and alkaloids. This constituent combination creates a fortifying fragrance that emits a warm, penetrating aroma that is intellectually invigorating and increases concentration. These warming qualities make pepper a respected rubefacient oil that is beneficial in massage to assuage aches and get the juices flowing.

Chamomile Oil (Anthemis nobilis) – Chamomile essential oil has a sweet, ethereal, mildly herbaceous-hay scent reminiscent of a ripe apple dancing upon a summer breeze. This essence is rich in easing esters making it the gentlest go-to oil to serenely enter into higher states of being. Chamomile graces us with its honey-floral, hypnotic-fruit-scented powers of sedation pacifying apprehension, softening tension, and nestling nerves. Comforting chamomile brings a balanced calm to the fiery heat of cayenne and black pepper. This relaxing remedy eases the tension of life.

Cayenne Oil (Capsicum annuum) – Spicy cayenne contains potent properties that stimulate the. Thanks to its high levels of capsaicin, cayenne heats the skin which plays tricks on the discomfort signals coming to and from the brain.

Wintergreen (Gaultheria fragrantissima) — Wondrous Wintergreen essence awakens the senses with a burst of cooling mint and snow-capped freshness. Steam-distilled from the bright red berries and leaves of wild wintergreen, thriving even in the coldest of temperatures, this oil blesses with an essence of longevity and fortitude.

I still didn’t quite get the hot-cold sensations this balm should be giving. The smell is very good and relaxing though. Probably I should put more of it…we’ll see how it goes.
