It is possible to fit this lovely and useful tea basket inside a mug or tea pot. Because of its depth, you can fill it halfway for a single dose or completely for a larger pour (for tea pots). Its two handles, which rest softly on the edge, can be used to strain or brew loose-leaf tea, flowers, and other materials. The brass will develop a deep patina with time.

These strainers have a clear food-grade finish and are made entirely of brass.

How to use

Fill the basket with loose herbs, put it in a mug or teapot, and pour hot water through it. For five minutes, or for as long as suggested, steep the tea.

How to take care

Rinse and dry these strainers after each use to keep them hygienic. Don’t allow them to remain submerged in water. If the brass is properly maintained, it doesn’t oxidize.
