Potentised Seabuckthorn Powder – Bioavailable Plant Serotonin

Our natural serotonin is derived solely from wild seabuckthorn shoots are harvested from the Altai Mountains in spring. After harvest, they are carefully dried and processed into a fine powder using a special patented technology for processing and micro-grinding. The powder is then further enhanced using quantum SSF technology resulting in a potent 100% natural plant-based serotonin.

Thanks to a special patented technology for processing and micro-grinding, the powder is absorbed by the human body many times more efficiently than serotonin from food. When taken orally, it is not destroyed by hydrochloric acid of gastric juice, is absorbed into the blood and is able to partially overcome the blood-brain barrier, that is, penetrate directly into the brain, affecting mood and the level of vital energy.

Serotonin is a neurotransmitter. These are substances that are responsible for a positive emotional background, a sense of vitality. It is called the “happiness hormone”, “good mood hormone”, although serotonin is not a hormone and can not disrupt the hormonal system. When serotonin levels are normal, a person feels happy, calm, and contented.

That is, serotonin provides a good mood and well — being during the day, and at night — a healthy, full-fledged sleep.

Lack of serotonin causes anxiety, apathy, and depression. Other signs of its deficiency: rapid fatigue, sleep disorders, decreased sexual desire, migraines, increased sensitivity to pain, distracted attention, muscle pain, constant cravings for sweets, signs of obesity, intestinal disorders, fear, panic, aggression, low self-esteem, gratuitous, inadequate guilt and other nervous and physiological disorders.

Serotonin is found in some foods and is produced by the body (most of it is synthesized in the intestines). An unbalanced diet, lack of sunlight, liver and intestinal disorders, taking certain medications, frequent sleep disorders, and other factors lead to the fact that serotonin is not produced enough, this leads to a feeling of lethargy and fatigue, irritability, drowsiness, deterioration of the brain, sleep disorders, and so on. Over the years in our search for the most vital and life giving foods and herbs (a passion which grew into Na’vi Organics), we have tried many different foods, herbs and extracts from all over the world.

We are proud that 99% of our products are sourced directly from either the growers or producers, rather than through 3rd party suppliers. This ensures our stock is always the freshest it can be, and we also know we are paying the producers directly ensuring they are getting what they wish for their produce. Building long-standing relationships with our suppliers is also very important to us – we are delighted at the friendships we have built with some of our producers and the joyfulness of doing business in this way.

We have sought producers who are passionate about their products and many of the products we stock are unique to us in the UK.

Chinese Sourcing

Until a few years ago (2015) we did not source any products from China due to the difficulty we experienced in finding suppliers with a true commitment to providing a consistent high quality of uncontaminated sources of tonic herbs. We continued searching as knew that when properly adhered to, the precious knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine within China can not be surpassed. They know, through their long history of using and studying their traditional herbs exactly what is required to produce the very best functional herbal remedies. Herbalists are highly regarded in Chinese culture, knowing where / when to harvest and exactly how to process medicinal herbs is a very prestigious art.

In 2015, we were very fortunate to find a wonderful producer to work with in China. They have a very strict sourcing policy and a passionate in-depth knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine. After sampling their products and getting to know them, we were satisfied by their dedication to clean sourcing, high quality, and attention to detail during the processing involved. With this new partnership, we began to offer a select range of tonic herbs.

Since making a choice to stock some products that are produced in China, we understandably began to receive emails from customers expressing their concern regarding potential environmental pollutants.
