United moments of happiness.

Hours spend gardening under the sun, afternoons on the beach, late nights sipping natural wine under the stars – this antioxidant cocktail infuses my skin with everything it needs to protect and recover. A second skin and invisible armor to help weather all sorts of conditions we face in the course of our day. This serum can sit sweetly under a sunscreen, and is wonderful as an after sun damage control.

In 2020, Christo made natural wine with Brendon Carto, from Carto Wines, crafted wild beer with our friend Tim using our Kangaroo Valley spring water, and macerated moonshine bottles of Gentian/Mulberry bitters. Me, I sun-infused all their nutrient-charged leftover plant matter into biodynamic Olive oil, until the extracts sang of smiling, warm, boozy Summer days spend with friends who’ve all had to change their lives last year.

SUMMER WINE is a collection of the good 2020 moments we seized, the beautiful things we did in the strangest of years, when everything turned upside down and threw everyone brutally of the straight and narrows. Time stood still, and moments of rare idleness opened a world of beauty.

BENEFITS
Sun-infused extracts of Primitivo Grapes, fermented Chardonnay grapes + seed and Shiraz leaves, Mulberry leaves, Gentian root, Hop flowers, Dragons blood resin, Gingko leaf, and Strawberry Gum combine with Strawberry Seed oil, Blackberry seed oil and Buriti seed oil, creating a protective second skin to fight of free radicals, combat pollution, fade pigmentation, accelerate cell turn over, calm inflammation, reduce swelling, correct uneven skin tone and improve skin complexion.

ZERO ESSENTIAL OILS
To let the aromas and fragrances of my extracts and oils unfold naturally, I have chosen to add zero essential oils to any of our KAIROS MOMENT compositions. This means their energetic ethereal body charge is much more subtle and comes from the naturally occurring, non-isolated essential oils within the plant matter like seeds, fruit, flowers, leaves, bark, etc. I am extracting into biodynamic Olive oil. The aroma of these very complex compositions is oscillating, specific, momentous – Kairological.

Kairos Time – as opposed to Chronos time, is non-linear. Kairos time does not get measured, does not run to schedules. It is the cyclic time of the soul, divine sparks of new directions, aha-moments of deep insights, transformative decisions, inspired creations, and, most importantly, of floating idleness. Kairos moments arise in stillness and appear in the eye of storms. When our Chronos-time bound ego falters, when we surrender our self to Nature, it finds our wounded openings and pours light into all our cracks. Kairos moments are transcendental, magical.

I created our vivid new compositions during our very own Kairos moment in 2020, when time stood still for all of us. And in that elastic pause between inhale and exhale we got to play, explore and make some skincare magic.
