Lavender Essential Oil (Lavandula officinalis) – Lovely lavender oil is more than just an aromatherapy staple; it’s the perfect muse to charm your underarms! Lavender is emotionally calming, and soothing, yet it is also wonderful for the skin. Under the arms, lavender soothes tender skin after shaving. Lavender, named from the Latin ‘to wash,’ is a lovely liniment lending our underarm charm a petal-poem of relaxed calm.
Spikenard Essential Oil (Nardostachys jatamansi) – Spikenard smells of earth and antiquity; it is comprised of thousands of years of heavenly history. This aromatic root is the epitome of natural luxury. SOMETHING MAGICAL ABOUT SPICING LAVENDER UP A BIT.
This isn’t a lavender for those wanting a feminine, subtle scent. This version spices lavender slightly with spikenard, creating a deeper, fuller scent to be experienced. I felt a little adventurous using this, oddly enough, due to the fact that there was something magical about spicing lavender up a bit. It mixed really well with my body chemistry and it smelled wonderful all day long. I always loved applying this at night before bed, as no matter how cheeky the lavender was, it still had a gentle and calming effect on my mind.

I CAN’T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT LIVING LIBATIONS!
If you’re looking to try any other natural deodorants I can’t say enough about Living Libations! … took me about 6 months to make the switch but now people often ask if I’m wearing perfume and it’s just my ‘poetic pits’!

This works really well, I never smell sweaty while using. I chose the Lavender one because I love the smell of lavender and sandalwood. And although I like the scent…. I wish spikenard wasnt in here. I personally dont like the scent of spikenard in this mixture.

UPDATE: I said in my review before that I wish spikenard wasnt in here. Now I am obsessed with the smell. I cant stop sniffing it under my arms (I also like putting it on my wrist). It seems with LL the more you use it the more you will love it!

I tried a sample of this poetic pits, and while I am in love with the smell (even though I’m not a huge lavender fan!) I’m a bit confused about the effectiveness, sometimes it gets me through the day with no problem, other times I start to notice the smell after few hours. Never happened with my underarm charm deodorant. Probably it’s the size of the roll on that makes it tricky to distribute evenly.
