Native to the crisp Canadian forests of North America, the Balsam Fir has been used for centuries. The shiny, silver-green needles of this fir tree were used by the Native Americans. Balsam oil is traditionally harvested during the middle of winter, when the trees are at their freshest and most alive. It is during this vibrant, emotional time of the year that the trees produce the most sap, which in turn creates the most oil.

    THE SOOTHING FIR
    “Fir Balsam Oil really does live up to its name. It is like balsam for the soul and for the chest. Immedeately when you inhale it, you feel the ‘Aaaaaahhh’ feeling – the freshness, airy sweetness and the serenity of the pine woods. I feel like this scent takes care of me and of my feelings, somehow. I use it in my salt inhaler and in my diffuser lamp, together with black spruce and camphor…… and when I do that – I get high.
    I’m serious – I really get high! I have not ever tried getting high from essential oils this way before (and I am used to using essential oils!) – but it actually happens. I get totally lightheaded, feel joyous and start writing silly things on Facebook. It’s awesome.”

    LOVE THIS ESSENCE
    I had a rather interesting experience with this oil! I had a rather interesting experience with this oil! A spot on my left eyelid was puffy and uncomfortable, and the normal prescribed method didn’t help. I rubbed 2 drops of oil on the puffy spot and it worked! Not sure if this is a normal use for this oil – just did what my instinct told me. Hope it helps anyone out there looking for an alternate solution.
