Moving away from the traditional use of honey, our recipe features organic vegetable glycerin (VG) and organic cane spirits. We’ve opted for vegetable glycerin (VG) over honey or other sweeteners due to several advantages:

VG naturally sweetens without any sugar content, ensuring our Elderberry syrup is devoid of sugar, making it suitable for diabetics and vegans alike.
Whether it’s our tonics or elixirs, our Elderberry syrup is just as portable. Thanks to VG, it remains stable at room temperature, eliminating the need for refrigeration.
While we recognize the allure of honey or agave-based syrups, the sugar can quickly accumulate when consuming medicinal doses of 4-6 teaspoons daily during the onset of ailments.

How to use

Add 1 tsp daily to water, juice, tea, baked goods, etc.

For children:
Ages 1-3: ¼ teaspoon daily
Ages 4 and up: 1/2 teaspoon daily

Elderberry is meant to be high-dosed when you’re exposed to a bug and feel the onset of symptoms. This is why we really chose sugar-free, (like all of our formulas!) because sugar feeds the potential pathogens. The dosage is variable as it depends if you’re using for ongoing resilience and protection, or when “hit” with something. For regular consumption 1 tsp a day is good, when you experience the early stages of a cold or flu, take 4-6 tsp throughout the day.
