Meet Georganics: The Natural Oral Care Brand Rethinking Your Routine

georganics-blog

Most oral care hasn’t changed much in fifty years. The same synthetic thickeners, the same artificial flavours, the same plastic tubes, refined and repackaged but built on the same assumptions. That the foam means it’s working. That the mint means it’s clean.

Georganics was started by people who weren’t convinced. And we are very happy to welcome them to Dutch Health Store.

A Brand Born From a Simple Question

The founder had been doing everything right, using high-fluoride toothpaste and strong mouthwashes, and still struggling with poor oral health. After switching to more natural products and finding no good toothpaste alternative on the market, he decided to make his own. What started at a farmer’s market stall has grown into one of Europe’s most trusted natural oral care brands.

The philosophy has stayed the same throughout: if an ingredient doesn’t have a real function in the formula, it has no place in it.

Skip the Plastic Tube

One of the first things you notice about Georganics is the packaging. Glass jars. Aluminium lids. No plastic in sight.

The toothpaste tablets and mineral toothpaste powder are a genuinely effective alternative to the conventional tube, available in English Peppermint. You chew a tablet, it foams up, and you brush as normal. That’s it. No squeezing, no mess, no plastic ending up in a landfill.

For those who prefer a tube format, the hydroxyapatite toothpastes in Fennel and Fresh Mint are available in fluoride-free options, and the probiotic and prebiotic toothpaste is there for anyone focused on oral microbiome health. There is also a fluoride-free kids toothpaste in Strawberry for younger family members who are not yet ready to negotiate with a chewable tablet.

Because rethinking one product without rethinking the rest didn’t make much sense.

Rethinking Mouthwash Too

Conventional mouthwash bottles are one of the less glamorous contributors to bathroom plastic waste. Georganics replaced them with mouthwash tablets in English Peppermint: dissolve one in water, swish, done.

The oil pulling mouthwashes in Tea Tree and English Peppermint bring an ancient Ayurvedic practice into a modern, accessible format, supporting gum health and a balanced oral microbiome without any of the guesswork.

The Rest of the Routine

Beyond toothpaste and mouthwash, Georganics has thought through the full routine, which is more than most natural oral care brands can say.

The plastic-free floss in English Peppermint is a straightforward swap from conventional nylon floss. Same job, less waste, and it actually works. For anyone who has been meaning to make the switch but kept putting it off, this is the easiest place to start.

For brushing, the Georganics Sonic Toothbrush Set delivers 50,000 strokes per minute, putting it firmly in the performance category rather than the novelty one. The replacement heads are sold separately, which means when the bristles wear down you swap the head rather than the whole brush. A small detail, but a considered one.

And then there is the chewing gum. Natural, peppermint-flavoured, and genuinely useful for a quick refresh between meals or on the go. It is the kind of product that rounds out a range rather than padding it out, because good oral care doesn’t stop when you leave the bathroom.

Natural Does Not Mean Less Effective

Georganics uses natural minerals like hydroxyapatite, calcium carbonate, and sodium bicarbonate alongside organic botanicals, working with scientists to make sure their formulas genuinely perform. Free from SLS, triclosan, artificial colours, and synthetic flavours. Cruelty-free, mostly vegan, and made in small batches in Sussex.

The result is a complete oral care range that proves a point many brands only claim to make: going natural doesn’t mean going backwards.

About Us

Georganics began with a single question: what does your mouth actually need?

Oral care hasn't changed much in fifty years. The same synthetic thickeners, the same artificial flavours, the same single-use plastic packaging, updated in appearance but built on the same foundations. The foam that signals it's working. The mint that signals it's clean. Products that have been on shelves long enough that no one thinks to question them anymore.

In 2016, we decided to question them.

We started by taking things away. Not as a branding exercise, but as an honest attempt to get to the bottom of what a formula actually needs to do its job. When you strip everything back to that question, the answer turns out to be far simpler than most of the industry would like you to think. A surprising amount of what fills conventional oral care products serves no real purpose. No function. No benefit to you. Just filler, habit, and the quiet assumption that most people aren't paying close attention.

We were. And once you start looking, it changes everything.

If an ingredient has no place in a formula, it has no place at all. We apply the same thinking to our packaging. Glass jars designed to be refilled. Cartons printed with vegetable-based inks. A zero-to-landfill scheme for anything local recycling can't handle. We won't pretend we've got everything figured out, the caps on some of our newer tubes still involve plastic we haven't found a replacement for yet. We'd rather be upfront about that than gloss over it. We're working on it.

FAQ

We recommend the Activated Charcoal range. It works to remove surface stains naturally, without being harsh or abrasive on the teeth.
We recommend the Spearmint Natural Toothpaste paired with the Soft Bristle Beechwood Toothbrush. The spearmint oil in this formula helps promote gum healing and has a gentler, more subtle minty flavour that tends to work well for sensitive mouths.
Yes, all of our products are vegan with one exception: the Plastic Free Floss in English Peppermint.
