Every once in a while, a book comes along that’s fun to read, and can make a difference. This is such a book.
As a holistic dentist practicing over 25 years I thought I had read or seen just about everything written about dentistry. I was very pleased when Nadine asked me to write a forward for her book. Knowing her products, I felt that this could be a good thing. Being somewhat tired of reading books about teeth I put this off for a few weeks. Finally, on a rainy day I picked it up.
What a surprise!!!
I found myself transported into a tour of the mouth in a way that hasn’t happened in a long time…it was great! I felt like I was on a small boat sailing through the oral cavity for the tour of my life. The writing and the accuracy of her work will make you appreciate your mouth all the more.
The discussion of the meridians involving teeth is an important fact that most books don’t mention, yet this is very important because knowing this can help you with many problems in the rest of your system. For instance, going to the dentist with a pain in your lower first molar; after an examination your dentist could tell you that there is nothing wrong with the tooth. You will know that this is a digestive problem and once this is corrected the tooth pain will be gone. You will learn about the mouth being an ecosystem that is part of the larger system of the body. Her knowledge regarding healing methods is truly inspiring. There are many natural ways to keep your mouth healthy, which, also spill over into good general health. The techniques and materials that Nadine talks about are the best for making sure your mouth stays healthy. Her comments regarding regeneration are some of the best I have seen.
There is one problem with the book. By following Nadine’s advice I will not get the chance to do lots of restorative therapy for your mouth since you will not need it.

Second time that i read this book during summer holidays and after having some dental issues back in June. No matter how many times you will read this, you still have so many things to learn! I gave this book to my sister who has a 5 years old son (my amazing nephew) because she has so many things to learn about kids dental care. Both Nadine’s books are pure knowledge. I just wish that i knew all this information so many years ago…i would have saved myself from so many dental problems and soooo many dentist bills….however, better late than never!!

A GREAT BOOK FOR SOMEONE NEW TO HOLISTIC DENTISTRY
I have been looking for an introductory book on holistic dental care for quite some time. After reading this book, I have a good grasp on the basics of how our mouth works, what creates dental issues, and received some very easy to implement solutions for how to better care for my teeth. Definitely a book to add to your bookshelf if you are sick of spending tons of money at the dentist and want a more natural and cost-effective solution to a healthy mouth. This book did not use very much jargon and was easy to understand.

MAP FOR HEALING MY TEETH
I just returned from getting xrays at the dentist’s today, and to my astonishment, I was told I have “perfect teeth.” Three years ago, it was recommended that I make an appointment for several fillings. Instead, I picked up a copy of Holistic Dental Care, and began implementing changes in my diet, adding essential oils and Living Libations products to my oral healthcare routine. THIS BOOK SAVED MY MOUTH!
So grateful for @livinglibations. A year ago I hit #dental rock bottom. I had #enamelloss, tons of #staining, #gumrecession, and extreme #sensitivity with searing pain along the gumline that prevented my #dentist from doing her normal cleaning. And to top it all off, FOUR NEW #CAVITIES. This was six months after I had decided to be a responsible grownup and get the #deepcleaning that had been recommended for a while. That deep cleaning left me in such rough shape I couldn’t eat or drink anything cold or hot, couldn’t chew anything crunchy or sticky sweet for MONTHS. I had just gotten to the point where I could eat a date again a year ago when I had this awful dental appointment. I was told if I got the deep cleaning and came in every six months, I’d be in great shape. And yet things were getting worse. Much worse. I needed an answer other than drill and fill and toxic sensitive toothpaste and gum graft. This is an amazing book, so well worth the read. What I like about Nadine’s book is that she doesn’t outwardly promote her products like so many other authors do – she just gives you the advice and leaves it up to you to find the products that will help you.

MORE THAN YOUR MOUTH
So much great information in here. Much that I have never thought of before, such as tiny ligaments that attach our gums to our teeth. I have employed some of the practices and have learned to love flossing. I also keep a bottle of salt water on the sink and use that often after meals to rinse, as well as before brushing. Highly recommend. Very impressed with author and I encourage you to look her up on youtube. She has some great presentations. Very knowledgeable!

This is seriously a must read!! The mouth is the first step of the digestive system and the microbiome of the mouth is now being thought to be just as important to overall body health as that of the gut. The mouth-body connection is extremely important- read this and you will never use toothpaste from the grocery store again!
