Curry Leaf Essential Oil is distilled from the leaves of the age-old Curry Tree, which is believed to be named after Krishna, a Hindi deity. Native to tropical regions with deep rich soil, the small shrub has glossy, aromatic leaves with bunches of white flowers that fade into black berries. In July and August the leaves are harvested and steam distilled to extract the oil.

In Asia, India, and Africa curry leaves are treated as an aromatic spice and condiment used to bring zest to curries, pickles, chutneys, and soups.
