Living Libations Clarifying Clay Soap is a cleansing, balancing bar soap made with gorgeous green clay, pure plant botanicals, and opulent essential oils to gently wash and clean hands, arm pits, and privates.

Clarifying Clay Soap is a botanical bar soap crafted with cleansing French green clay, also known as sea clay, is a natural occurring element captured from quarries in France.
It is highly absorbent and has the ability to draw toxins and impurities like a magnet. French green clay gets its lovely green hue from ancient iron oxides and decomposed, organic plant matter.
The clay is swirled into soap with cacao butter, golden jojoba, and virgin coconut oil to drench the skin in marvelous amounts of moisture. Saponified olive oil works with the clay to cleanse the skin and purify pores. Yarrow and rosemary clarify and rejuvenate the skin. Eucalyptus, cypress, and laurel fortify skin and aromatically motivate in the morning.
Our botanical bar soaps are particularly handy for the hygienic yet gentle cleansing of pits and privates. The essential oils in our soaps potently modulate odor-causing bacteria without disrupting the protective barrier of the skin. Commercial bars soaps contain harsh surfactants that disrupt the structure of the skin, which causes dryness, irritation, and inflammation.

Our Soap Saver Scrap Bags are the sudsy solution for those looking to save on our heavenly hand-milled soap.
Each Bamboo Soap Saver Bag is filled with approximately 140g-160g of our all-natural soap ends after cutting the soap loaves into bars.
Soap Scraps are handy for
• Washing hands.
• Hang ready to go soap saver bag in shower area.
• Take smaller pieces in travelling or camping kits.
• Place the Soap Saver Bag in drawers or cars to scent.
Natural/Organic Ingredients
French Green Clay – (Montmorillonite) – French Green Clay is extracted from natural clay deposits in France. This incredibly absorbent, mineral-rich clay gets its glorious green hue from ancient iron oxides and generations of vitamin-rich decomposed plant matter. It is one of the most absorbent clays from in nature and draws toxins and impurities from the skin.
Cacao Butter – (Theobroma cacao) – Our certified-raw, heirloom cacao butter is as beneficial as it is delectable. Sweet, buttery cacao infuses every inch of skin with rejuvenating antioxidants and smoothing moisture..
Jojoba Oil – (Simmondsia chinensis) – Glorious, golden jojoba nourishes and conditions thirsty skin. Jojoba has unparalleled ability to moisturize the skin, balance oil production, deep clean pores, and create long-lasting conditioning effects that soften skin to perfect silk. It is packed with peptides and lipids and contains the highest levels of phenolic compounds found in nature along with antioxidants and all soluble forms of vitamin E!
Saponified Olive Oil – (Olea europaea) – Saponified olive oil captures all of the nourishing, moisturizing properties of olive oil while enhancing the oil’s ability to clean the skin, hair, and scalp. Saponification is a chemical reaction that occurs when the oil is treated with a highly alkaline solution. Fats are hydrolyzed before combining with alkali to form natural glycerin, a softening agent. This creates soap with a very low pH. Saponified olive oil is said to increase skin’s porousness to help the skin to release toxins and absorb moisture.
Virgin Coconut Oil – (Cocos nucifera) – Our pure, pristine virgin coconut oil satiates skin, offering magnificent moisture and resilience. Coconut oil is smoothes the appearance of fine lines, and is a sentinel for the skin’s moisture barrier.
Yarrow – (Achillea millefolium) Essential oil – Yarrow is particularly suited to balancing skin oil production, especially in oily skin. It is high in cool, blue azulene to calm the skin.
Rosemary – (Rosemarinus officinalis verbenone) – Rousing rosemary is an herbaceous revive-alive-verve-tonic with a refreshing, penetrating aroma. Think of rosemary as the feisty friend that stimulates sluggishness out of its stagnancy, helping skin thrive with renewed freshness. This special verbenone variety of Rosemary a particularly suited to skin, hair, and cuticle care. Rosemary oil is filled with antioxidants and bioactive compounds including carnosic acid, camphor, and rosmaridiphenol. It is perfectly purifying to pimples and pores.
Eucalyptus – (Eucalyptus globulus) Essential oil – Eucalyptus is a camphorous, clarifying oil that is energizing and a botanicalbiotic. Indigenous Australians have used eucalyptus on the skin for hundreds of years.
Cypress – (Cypresssempervirens) Essential oil – Cypress is extracted from the mighty needles of the majestic evergreen tree, which stretches proudly toward the heavens as it watches over centuries of existence. This crisp essence purifies pores, balances excess skin oil and lifts the spirits. Our oil is a rich source of plant biochemicals monoterpene a-pinene (46%), sesquiterpenes a-cedrene, cedrol, and diterpenes. It is drying, strengthening, and toning for skin.
Laurel Leaf – (Laurus nobilis) Essential oil – Laurel is captured from the invincible laurel tree that begins to regenerate itself immediately after being cut down. These restorative properties rejuvenate the skin.

So I waited months before writing any reviews on the LL site to ensure this product was really great. All I can say about this soap is I am in “HEAVEN”!!! For the ladies….this soap is gentle and harmonizing on your private parts. It leaves my skin feeling so soft and clean afterwords and a little bit also goes a long way. This is a staple if you are new to LL and was guided to this heavenly site and the genius of Nadine and Ron please do yourself a favor and get 3 items: Clarifying Soap; Best Skin Ever, and some samples of everything.

CLEANS SO WELL!
This is the first soap that hasn’t dried out my skin. I can use it everyday with no problems. It has even gotten rid of pastel stains under my fingernails! Since it is a natural bar soap, you have to make sure that it is completely dry when you store it or it will easily melt.

I know Nadine says to use the Best Skin Evers to wash the face, but I love using this bar on my face. It gets my makeup off gently. My face isn’t irritated afterwards and it doesn’t dry out my skin. I just ordered 3 more bars. 🙂

A MIRACLE FOR ACNE!
I’ve been using this soap for about 6 months. I know it is not really intended for use on the face, but I tried it a few times on mine and was shocked and amazed and thrilled that it cleared up the appearance of my acne. First soap that has ever done this! Mind you, I am 44 years old and have suffered from face and back acne since I was 14. It’s a real bummer to have zits and wrinkles at the same time – seems a bit unfair, y’know? So, it’s nice to find something that helps after 30 years of this nightmare, but I sure wish I had been able to use something like this many years ago before my skin got scarred. Anyway, I can’t recommend it highly enough for the acne-prone. This plus a little drop of Zippity Dew Dab on any blemishes that do pop up and I feel I finally have nice skin. It also is quite nice on the pits and seems to prevent BO for some time, if that’s your jam. 🙂

Very nice and gentle soap that doesn’t dry my skin. I use it in the shower instead of all that body washes full of chemicals. I tried it also for my privates, but it leaves that squeaky clean feeling that I don’t like. Another thing that I love about it is that it seems really econimical: since this soap is all natural I was worried that it wouldn’t last long, but after 2 weeks of daily use in the shower it’s perfect as new.
