Our slow and long method of sun-infusion gently extracts the potent compounds of Arnica – soothes aching, bruised, torn and sprained muscles and tendons; and  Kunzea – a native Australian herb used topically by indigenous communities for thousands of years to treat muscular injuries.

The history of Arnica goes back to the early 16th century, when it became a popular German folk remedy to treat blunt injuries, bruising, inflammation, and skin lesions. Today it is integral to German Homeopathic medicine and a corner stone of every family home apothecary kit.

In aromatherapy, Kunzea is believed to release deep seated physical and emotional pain that has been suppressed for a long time. The scrubby bush grows all over our place in kangaroo valley, and we often see Kangaroos resting under it – some think the animals seek it out because the scrubs aromatic scent repels ticks, hence the plants common name ‘Tick Bush’. But to be perfectly honest, I’ve gotten so many tick bites roaming through said bushes, I think the ‘roos are just looking for shade.

How to Use

Massage into muscles before and after work out or strenuous activity, on torn muscles and blunt bruises. Massage a small amount into affected area as needed. Great to use as a muscle warming massage oil.
