(Recipe) Dutch Apple and Pear Spiced Crumble
Ingredients
For the filling:
- 3 medium apples (peeled, cored, and sliced)
- 2 ripe pears (peeled, cored, and sliced)
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the crumble topping:
- 1 cup oats
- 1/2 cup almond flour (or regular flour)
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or almonds
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil or butter (melted)
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Prepare the filling: In a mixing bowl, toss the sliced apples and pears with maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and vanilla extract until well coated. Spread the mixture evenly in the baking dish.
