Contraindications

The oil’s high citral content might make it a possible skin sensitization for some – dilute to use on skin.

Lemon Myrtle is also known as Lemon Ironwood, or Sweet Verbena Tree. It is newer to the plant pantheon of distilled essences yet quickly becomes a fragrant favorite as it blasts its good-feeling fragrance from the bottle into your brain.

The reason for Lemon Myrtle Essential Oil’s uplifting cheer is that it contains serious amounts of citral (95%!), along with neral and geranial.
