The Boswellia dalzielii shrub thrives in the wooded savannas of Western Africa. The long, narrow pale green leaves sprout unevenly from the shrub and exfoliate before small white flowers bloom. The peeling, papery bark exudes a soft, yellow-tinted resin. This fragrant resin is dried to a crystalized gum before it is slowly steam distilled to liberate the verdant, volatile compounds.

Our exclusive essence is hydro-distilled in small batches in copper alembics. The citrus-mint candy scent sets Green Hojari apart from other frankincense types.
