NUORI Skincare

The Scandinavian company NUORI Skincare makes the claim that their products would include the highest concentration of active substances currently available in natural cosmetics while yet including only natural components.
This is all due to their production processes, which include mixing just once every 12 weeks rather than mass-producing their products on a large scale.
Thus, all of the beneficial nutrients in NUORI products remain active and are always as fresh as they can be.

When inventor Jasmi Bonnén was employed as a marketing manager at L’Oréal at the time, she discovered that the majority of skincare products are designed to last at least 30 months, if not longer. She was intrigued by this finding and made the following decision to learn more about how time affects cosmetics:

We were then putting into practice the new EU regulations for cosmetics labeling.
The requirement that all cosmetics have a clearly visible expiration date was one of the new specifications.
A product did not need to have to have an expiration date if it had a minimum shelf life of more than 2.5 years; instead, it just required to have the little “open jar” mark, which informs the consumer how long a product will remain safe once it has been opened.

nuoriclaritymask2I was shocked to see a ton of studies showing that oxidation causes frequently used active substances, like vitamins, to begin losing their therapeutic characteristics in just a few months.
The need for artificial preservatives and other additions to maintain and sustain the formulae over time is another drawback of long shelf lives.

With this understanding, the concept for NUORI (whose name is a blend of the Danish and Finnish terms for “now” and “young and fresh”) was conceived: Jasmi says, “We want to offer consumers a fresh skincare option that hasn’t been available on the market up until now.” She continues, “I quickly realized that by making product freshness our mission, we can provide consumers with two clear benefits: higher efficacy of ingredients and purer formulas. In other words, I think that fresh skincare makes sense because it’s more nourishing and contains less additives, much like fresh food does.

The difference about NUORI Skincare

The fact that NUORI is entirely natural serves to further distinguish it from other products.

The majority of companies claim to be natural, but when one carefully examines their ingredient lists, it becomes apparent that they are, for instance, just 95% natural, according to Jasmi.
The final few percent of synthetic substances are particularly challenging to eliminate and so necessitate extensive study and testing.

And that is precisely what NUORI seeks to achieve: “We define the intended benefit we wish to have first, and then identify components that have been studied and proved to have this desired impact. The next step is to confirm that the variation we use is naturally sourced rather than synthetically produced.
Finding these natural alternatives to ingredients is frequently considerably more expensive and challenging, but it’s worth it.

For instance, we employ a fairly recently created natural pentylene glycol version in our creams. As an extra plus, this substance naturally protects our creams from bacteria and mold, has excellent moisturizing capabilities, and produces a wonderful texture. In dated animal research conducted in the 1970s, pentylene glycol’s old synthetic version was discovered to be hazardous.
More recent research has revealed that the synthetic version can even irritate the skin, making it a possible source of contact dermatitis.
In place of petrochemicals, we now utilize fresh, natural pentylene glycol that is ECOCERT and COSMOS approved and is derived from corn and sugar cane.

Information is crucial

Jasmi also offers some advice for those looking to switch from traditional cosmetics to natural alternatives: “My best advice is to be attention to what you hear and read about the beauty industry and to keep conducting your own research.
The only way to truly be convinced that natural skin care products are best for you is to understand why it is crucial to stay away from specific chemicals or why you should avoid synthetics. Understanding that transitioning to a natural line typically results in an adjustment period for the skin of two weeks is also crucial.
Although it may need some patience, this is ultimately worthwhile.

Jasmi likes to make her own beauty routine straightforward. “I cleanse my face with the eye makeup-removing Vital Foaming Cleanser in the evening. After moisturizing the skin with a few drops of Perfecting Facial Oil, I apply an eye cream. I use a generous amount of NUORI Lip Treat right before night, and then I massage the remaining product into my cuticles so that my nails will be moisturized in the morning.

I just use cold water to wash my face in the morning, followed by the NUORI Vital Facial Cream and a small amount of the Vital Eye Cream.
My boys’ school day begins at eight in the morning, so I need to put on my makeup quickly. A little concealer, mineral powder, blush, and black mascara, and I’m ready to leave. I like to apply an intensive treatment once every two months to give the skin an extra boost. For instance, NUORI’s Supreme-C Serum Treatment (freshly prepared at home) is excellent for treating and avoiding hyperpigmentation, to balance out skin texture, and to stimulate the formation of collagen.
