Why Natural Oils Change in Winter — And Why That’s a Good Thing

When temperatures drop, nature responds. Plants slow down, water freezes, and oils behave differently. If you use natural skincare — especially oil-based products — you may notice changes during colder months. Your product may look cloudy, contain small “bits,” or feel firmer than usual.

Pure oils behave like oils — not like chemicals
Best Skin Ever is made with pure, unprocessed plant oils. We do not use synthetic stabilisers, emulsifiers, or preservatives. That means the oils in the bottle are free to behave as they naturally do.
One of the key ingredients in Best Skin Ever is coconut oil. Coconut oil is solid at cooler temperatures and becomes liquid only when warmed. You might even recognise this from your own kitchen — a jar of coconut oil can be soft and spreadable one day, and completely solid the next.

Why do you sometimes see “bits” in your Best Skin Ever?
Those small floating pieces or cloudy areas you may notice are simply coconut oil that has firmed up due to cold temperatures. This can happen:
during air transport (cargo holds are cold),
in warehouses where products are stored cool and dark,
during winter shipping,
or when a bottle is kept in the fridge at home.
None of this affects the quality, effectiveness, or shelf life of the product.
A simple solution: gentle warmth
Fortunately, restoring your Best Skin Ever to its smooth, liquid state is very easy.
Place the bottle in a bowl of hand-warm (lukewarm) water for a few minutes. The oils will gently melt and blend together again. Give the bottle a good shake, and it’s ready to use.
Also pay attention to the pump. If the product has been cold, some oil may have solidified inside the pump mechanism. Simply place the pump in warm water as well, dry it thoroughly, and it will work perfectly again.
A little extra care — but a very reassuring reason.

Gently massage the face, neck and back of the neck.
Rinsing is optional — many people simply wipe and go.
For deeper exfoliation, massage more vigorously. For sensitive skin, keep movements soft and slow.

After bathing or showering:
Leave the skin wet.
