Earth has an excellent eye for concrete reality. Earth acquires certainty by orienting itself to everything that can be perceived with the senses. He therefore has a good eye for colours, shapes and proportions, and thus an eye for the world of matter. He certainly does not have to be a materialist, but he does rely on his sense impressions: what does something look like? What is its quality? What material is it made of? Earth always has to get used to new things: he has to give them a fixed place in his life first.
