Crafted from a precise blend of pure henna (Lawsonia inermis) and indigo (Indigofera tinctoria) leaf powders, this formula delivers beautiful, natural color—without any chemicals.

This 100% natural hair dye is free from harsh metals, parabens, sulfates, and synthetic toxins, making it safe for sensitive scalps. Every shade deeply nourishes and conditions your hair while providing a gentle, effective alternative to traditional chemical dyes. It also covers grays and can be safely used on beards and moustaches.

Please note: One packet provides enough dye for a full application on shoulder-length hair. Each kit contains both red henna and indigo.

We strongly recommend performing a strand or patch test before applying henna to the head to ensure the desired color is achieved, especially because henna cannot be safely bleached or highlighted.
Some grey or previously damaged hair may also be a bit resistant to the dye (this will result in a brassy orange color) and may require a priming application / second application on virgin hair, and it’s best to be aware of that and have the supplies available ahead of time.

How to Mix & Apply Medium Brown Henna

Tools You’ll Need:
• Mixing bowl (preferably glass or wood)
• Spoon (wooden preferred)
• Measuring spoon or cup
• Gloves (vinyl or rubber)
• Plastic wrap or shower cap
• Optional: Fabric cap (beanie, knit hat, etc.)

Ingredients:
• 2 cups strongly brewed black tea, cooled
• Up to 3 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar or fresh lemon juice
• 1 Medium Brown Henna Kit (includes 1 bag Henna, 1 bag Indigo)
• 1 cup warm filtered water
• Optional: 1–3 tsp Euro Oil
• Optional: 1–3 tsp powdered clove, ginger, or cinnamon (to reduce the scent)
• Optional: Pinch of sea salt (to deepen the brown tone)
• Optional: Amla powder (helps prevent Indigo from fading—do not combine with tea, vinegar, or lemon juice)

Alternate Liquids:
Instead of black tea and vinegar/lemon, you can use:
• 2 cups apple or orange juice
• 2 cups cooled herbal tea (chamomile, rosemary, etc.)
• 2 cups warm filtered water (with or without lemon juice)
• Amla powder-based mixture

Step-by-Step Instructions

Empty the Henna (labeled LT/MD/DK Brown) into your bowl. Add clove, ginger, or cinnamon for scent. Stir in your vinegar or lemon juice. More acid means deeper color but may dry the hair and lengthen dye release time.

Slowly pour in the black tea until the paste is thick and yogurt-like. It should be smooth and spreadable—not runny. (You may not need the full 2 cups.)

Mix in Euro Oil if desired. Use more if you added a lot of acid, but don’t exceed 3 tsp, as too much oil can reduce color adherence.

Cover the bowl and let it sit at room temperature for 8–12 hours. If you used a lot of lemon juice or vinegar, let it sit the full 12 hours. Look for a darker brown-red surface to confirm dye release.
