Mette Picaut, the founder of the brand, enjoyed a successful career as an international model for over 20 years. During her modeling years, Mette was exposed to countless beauty products and treatments, which piqued her interest in skincare. In 2008, she decided to follow her passion and launch her own skincare line. Mette’s mission was to create a range of skincare products that were not only effective but also gentle on the skin and environmentally friendly.

Mette was born in Gothenburg in 1967. She worked abroad from 1989 to 2000 as a model, mainly in Tokyo, but also in Scandinavia, Paris, Madrid, Hamburg, Athens, Milan, London, USA, Hong Kong and Australia.

How it all started

I yearned for skincare products that were not only natural, organic, and beneficial for the skin, but also a delight for all senses. I envisioned a harmonious blend of fashion, design, travel, and skincare in a single product – a product tailored for those with an appreciation for detail. Like a perfect union of wool and silk in Vintage Couture, I wanted to combine holistic wisdom with modern technology. “The feeling should evoke femininity, quality, and sensuality. And the desire to share knowledge.”

I have always strived for balance – between rest and activity, the ingredients I use in my kitchen, and the knowledge I seek.
