How to use

How often should I use it?
For a full detox treatment, use once a week for three consecutive weeks, then once per season to maintain results. The masque can be applied to dirty or clean hair and can even replace a regular shampooing session. If you have a chronic or acute illness, start slowly and pay close attention to how your body responds.

Step 1 — Prep your tools
Always use non-metal bowls and utensils. Metal reacts negatively with the clay and will reduce its potency.
Step 2 — Mix the masque
Pour the Zen Detox powder into a bowl and slowly add equal parts distilled water, mixing as you go. You can also add the powder gradually to the water if you prefer. The consistency should be spreadable but not runny — adjust water as needed. Because this formula is raw and contains no emulsifiers, some clumping is normal. If it clumps, cover the bowl and let it sit at room temperature for one hour to allow the clay to fully hydrate, then mix again.
Step 3 — Apply
Dampen your hair slightly before applying. Using your hands, massage the mixture thoroughly into your scalp, then smooth it down the length of your strands. If your hair is long, coil it and secure it on top of your head.
Step 4 — Wait
Leave the masque on for 15 to 60 minutes depending on your comfort level and experience — but do not let it dry completely, as this can cause brittleness. First-time users should aim for 20 minutes. With each subsequent treatment, gradually increase to 30, 45, and then 60 minutes. Experienced users may go up to 120 minutes, provided the masque stays moist.
It’s normal to experience mild detox symptoms such as a slight headache, a light “pulling” sensation, or mild light-headedness. These are harmless, but if you feel uncomfortable at any point, rinse off immediately and reduce either the amount of clay or the treatment time next time.
Step 5 — Rinse
Submerge your scalp in a basin or tub and massage out the bulk of the clay, then rinse thoroughly with water. Do not follow with shampoo. To support your body through the detox process, replenish with electrolytes and minerals — coconut water, dark leafy greens, spirulina, or blue-green algae are all great options. Drink plenty of water or herbal tea and allow yourself some rest. If your hair or skin feels dry after treatment, apply Euro Oil for relief.

Pet Use — Dry Shampoo
Using a comb or your fingers, section your pet’s coat as needed. Sprinkle a small amount of dry powder into your palm or apply it directly to the skin. Gently massage the powder into the coat from head to tail, keeping it away from the eyes, mouth, and nose. Use a brush or comb to remove any excess. Zen Detox works best as a coat freshener between regular baths. If any sensitivities occur, consult your veterinarian.
