Ingredients:
400 g starchy potatoes
200 g onion
Optional: 2 cloves of garlic
50 g whole wheat flour
Coarse sea salt and pepper to taste
2 eggs
Olive oil for greasing the baking paper
For the dip:
Sour cream, quark, or thick yogurt
Finely chopped garlic, onion, chives, or dill to taste
Instructions:
Peel the potatoes and onions. Grate them coarsely or finely chop them in a food processor. Add the garlic if using.
Mix the grated mixture with the whole wheat flour, salt, and pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Add the eggs and mix well until combined.
Generously grease a sheet of baking paper with olive oil.
Form 14-20 small fritters and place them on the baking paper. Flatten slightly with the back of a spoon.
Oven baking method:
Preheat the oven to 140°C (285°F).
Place the baking tray in the middle of the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.
Flip the fritters and bake for another 15 minutes, until golden and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Serve with a dip made of sour cream, quark, or thick yogurt, flavored with garlic, onion, chives, or dill.
