What do you need?

Indispensable: good nappies!
First thing, plenty of diapers in your bag. Otherwise you can turn around in no time. Did you know that a newborn baby needs about 7 clean diapers a day? Of course, this number decreases as your baby grows up, but it still takes at least 3 or 4 years before he or she is fully potty trained. A good diaper is very important! For example, you should always check the ingredients. Many diapers contain harmful substances, such as plastic, chlorine and bleach. Also make sure the nappy fit well and have flexible adhesive strips.

Safe baby wipes: what should you look for?
Baby wipes: indispensable when you have a baby. But what is inside them? The Dutch Consumers’ Association carried out research into different types of baby wipes. Fortunately, no really dangerous and harmful ingredients were found. However, many baby wipes are full of perfumes and other allergens.
So what should you look for in baby wipes? Avoid wipes with perfume. You should also watch out for baby wipes containing preservatives such as phenoxyethanol and parabens. You don’t want to use them for cleaning those soft baby bottoms. Phenoxyethanol damages the skin and is bad for eczema. Parabens resemble the hormone oestrogen and can disturb the hormonal balance.
The Naïf Plastic Free Wipes are unscented, alcohol-free and paraben-free. To take the best care of the sensitive baby skin, the lotion consists of 99% water. The wipes do not contain any strange ingredients so you can safely use them when your baby’s bottom is dirty.
Done in no time
Besides wanting wipes with only safe ingredients, it is also important that they are easy to use. When you’re holding your baby’s feet with one hand, you want to be able to pull a cloth out of the wipes with your other hand. Of course, you don’t want to pull out all the cloths in one go.
Lastly, it is good to make sure the wipes are not too wet or too dry. The wipes should be moist enough to clean everything, but not so moist that your baby’s bottom ends up wet.
