How to Use

Use any time of day. Apply a less-than-pea-size amount and massage into the lips until you feel a gentle tingle. I love leaving it on as an intensive lip mask for five minutes or so, then wiping it away with a damp cloth. Lovely layered over a mist of SOFT ROSE MINERAL WATER and a smear of VELVET SOLE LIP BALM.

Met behulp van een eeuwenoude techniek genaamd zoninfusie, laten we langzaam de therapeutische componenten van onze bloemen, vruchten, schillen, bladeren, bast, zaden, harsen, zelfs hout en mineralen vrijkomen in biodynamische olijfolie gedurende een periode van 4-6 maanden, soms tot een jaar voor een zeer waardevolle vintage.

Vanwege hun stevigere structuur dan die van bladeren of bloesems, duurt het langer om basten, wortels en schillen te extraheren. Daarnaast moeten harsen worden gescheiden van hun wateroplosbare gommen voordat ze in de olie kunnen oplossen.

Dit langzame natuurlijke proces produceert geen CO2-uitstoot en behoudt de hittegevoelige medicinale eigenschappen van onze botanische ingrediënten en koudgeperste oliën, en versterkt hun helende krachten op manieren die extracten gemaakt op het fornuis gewoon niet kunnen, naar mijn bescheiden ervaring.

Het stelt me ook in staat om ongeraffineerde, extra vierge en koudgeperste olijfolie te gebruiken, terwijl commercieel de minder voedzame, geraffineerde en hittebestendige zonnebloemolie wordt gebruikt.

Wat zijn biodynamische principes?

Rudolf Steiner, een Duitse filosoof, humanist en holistische activist uit het begin van de 20e eeuw, was pionier op het gebied van biodynamische principes, homeopathie en richtte de gelijknamige Steiner-scholen op, waarbij Johanna's familie al vier generaties actief betrokken is geweest, van de oprichtingsdagen tot de vestiging van scholen over de hele wereld. Rudolf Steiners leringen over antroposofie gaven aanleiding tot biodynamica.

In essentie zien we biodynamisch als de evolutie van biologische landbouw.

Biodynamische concepten, die letterlijk vertaald 'levenskracht' betekenen, streven ernaar harmonie in de natuur te brengen en zien de zon, maan en sterren, evenals de aarde, planten, dieren en mensen, als onderdelen van een geheel.

Door gebruik te maken van kosmische krachten, ritmisch roeren om natuurlijke meststoffen te activeren, de maancyclus en seizoensobservatie, streven biodynamische principes ernaar een volledig duurzame productiecyclus te creëren.
