Ingredients

For the Ribs:

  1. 2 racks of organic pork ribs (about 3-4 lbs each)
  2. Organic salt and pepper to taste
  3. 2 tablespoons of organic olive oil

For the BBQ Sauce:

  1. 1 1/2 cups of organic ketchup
  2. 1/2 cup of organic brown sugar
  3. 1/2 cup of organic apple cider vinegar
  4. 3 tablespoons of organic honey
  5. 2 tablespoons of organic Worcestershire sauce
  6. 1 tablespoon of organic smoked paprika
  7. 1 teaspoon of organic garlic powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoon of organic onion powder
  9. 1/2 teaspoon of organic ground black pepper
  10. 1/2 teaspoon of organic salt
  11. Optional: a dash of organic hot sauce for some heat

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).

  2. Rub the ribs all over with the organic olive oil, and season with organic salt and pepper.

  3. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meaty side up. Cover the ribs with another piece of foil and seal it tightly.

  4. Bake for approximately 2.5-3 hours, or until the meat is tender and starts to pull away from the bone.

  5. While the ribs are in the oven, you can start preparing the BBQ sauce. Combine all the sauce ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar has completely dissolved.

  6. Let the sauce simmer for about 10-15 minutes until it thickens slightly. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Then, set aside to cool.

  7. Once the ribs are done, remove them from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Increase the oven temperature to 450°F (230°C).

  8. Brush the ribs generously with the homemade organic BBQ sauce and place them back into the oven, uncovered, for about 10-15 minutes until the sauce is bubbly and starts to caramelize.

  9. Remove the ribs from the oven, and let them rest for a few minutes before cutting into individual servings. Serve with extra organic BBQ sauce on the side.

And there you have it, a delicious homemade organic BBQ ribs recipe that your dad will love. Enjoy the peace of mind knowing that your meal is not only tasty but also free from pesticides and other harmful chemicals!
