Our Story

Regenerative Beekeeping
At Bee Boys, we practice regenerative beekeeping methods. This means we take extra steps to be sure the bees’ needs and desires are met first. We listen to the bees, and allow the colony to guide us. When life regenerates, it becomes whole and healthy again. Over the past 15 years, we’ve picked up a few pointers from the bees, and a unique way to promote regeneration within the colonies.

As beekeepers, we’ve come to understand that life in the colony is sacred and delicate. It’s important that we allow the honeybees to keep the colony order as they see fit. For this reason, our apiary practices are as follows:   Our apiary is 100% treatment free. We encourage hygenic behavior in our bees. We allow our bees to raise their own queens. Bees are encouraged to constantly build their own comb. Absolutely no plastic in the hives, this includes plastic frames, feeders and any component of the hive. We do not paint beehives. We refrain from pesticide and herbicide use. We follow biodynamic principles. We do not feed bees.
