How come lactoferrin?
A protein in the body with many functions is lactoferrin. Cow’s milk is referenced in the term Lactoferrin, where this protein was first discovered. Because lactoferrin possesses the ability to bind and transport iron, it is known as ferrin. The mucosal membranes, tear fluid, saliva, bile, pancreatic secretions, urine, and mucus in the gastrointestinal, respiratory, and nasal cavities all contain lactoferrin.

Because we humans drink colostrum and breast milk shortly after birth, we consume substantial amounts of lactoferrin. It is crucial that LPS is absent from lactoferrin. LPS has a detrimental effect on lactoferrin and may unintentionally trigger the immune system.
