Jiaogulan | Herb of Immortality
Gynostemma is a South-East Asian native that has been prized for its longevity for thousands of years. The Chinese customarily consume Jiaogulan tea, also known as the “Herb of Immortality,” to increase energy, endurance, strength, and to fight weariness. Given that it contains at least 100 saponins that are remarkably similar to those found in the Ginseng family, it is also referred to by the locals as “poor man’s ginseng” or “southern ginseng.” Surprisingly, Gynostemma has even more of these saponins than Ginseng does! Gynostemma has incredible adaptogenic potential.
Grown in the mountains of southwestern China for thousands of years, Jiaogulan is a wild herb that has been consumed as a tea or in soups.
