The Floral Cleanser represents the element of Earth. In Spanish Alchemy, the Earth element has cleaning power and combines the qualities of coldness and dryness.
Iris florentina is a large genus of about 300 species found in northern temperate regions and is native to the eastern Mediterranean.
It bears grey-white flowers with yellow inner beards and its underground rhizomes are the source of valued Iris powder and absolute.
Iris flowers are the origin of the sceptre and the fleur-de-lys; the three inner petals represent faith, wisdom, and valour.
In Ancient Greece, Iris was the messenger of the Gods and considered an embodiment of the rainbow.
Her winged form was a popular subject in art and the flower was named after her.
Directions For Use
Always use wood, glass or ceramic products to mix the Floral Cleanser. Do not mix with a metal spoon or store it in a metal container.
Add 2 teaspoons of Floral Cleanser powder in a bowl with a splash of mineral water. Mix the blend until you get a thick paste. If you prefer a creamy texture you can add a hint of natural cleansing milk until you get a creamy emulsion. For very sensitive skin I recommend that you add a few drops of cold pressed sweet almond oil.
Moisten your face with slightly warm water. Add a few drops of water and a small amount of paste (about the size of an almond) to the palm of your hand. This creates a mild cleanser which, thanks to its creamy base, cleanses the skin gently and deeply. Distribute it over your entire face from the centre outwards. Press lightly using gentle rolling movements with your fingertips.
Important: During application, keep the emulsion moist at all times. Moisten your hands and repeat the procedure described above then remove the remaining paste with warm water. Use cool water to rinse your face (or use lukewarm water for sensitive skin). Once you have finished exfoliating apply your moisturising product (Whipped Cream during the day or Aqua Serum Elixir at night).
