Historically, copal was used to dress and treat wounds, stop bleeding, purify the skin and heal insect bites. Copal resin is still used by indigenous cultures today. Instead of using it to treat battle wounds, however, they use copal resin to decrease inflammation, relieve pain, and treat skin imbalances and blemishes.
Our Copal essence is very high in sesquiterpenes which has been extensively studied and found to curb and even reverse the inflammation process. Copal also contains high levels of caryophyllene and gamma cadinene, both of which are said to enhance DNA health.
In addition to providing pain relief for sore muscles and joints, copal oil is used in sacred ceremonies and meditation rituals to purify body and soul. When used for consecration and purification, copal conjures a sense of peacefulness, acceptance, and appreciation.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Quote from aroma book

“Almost nothing can overcomegeneral depression like a room in which true essential oil of copal has been diffused. Failing the availability of essential oil, the aroma of copal can be added to the air by slowly burning over charcoal. Its aroma is similar to Frankincense, but with a slight hint of citrus. The aroma is uplifting and cleansing.”
