Breath is the force of life.

The best-kept secret to beating stress, increasing awareness, increasing energy, is conscious, controlled breathing. It's the most important toool to reduce stress, and heuihten focus, clarity and energy. You breathe about 15,840 times a day. Now, imagine your mouth, home to over 700 species of bacteria, as one of the gateways to your lungs. Then think about the fact that good and bad bacteria live, grow, eat and reproduce there. Eww... not a pretty picture, right?

The big secret is the slow release of oxygen.

The human body is 65% oxygen, and this percentage drops as we get older. Oxygen plays a key role in almost all bodily processes: it is needed for cell metabolism and plays a crucial role in wound-healing. The secret of our own collection is the slow release of oxygen to help your body recover and recharge. Want to know more about what oxygen does and why we use it in our products?

Five pillars theory

The man behind blue®m, Peter Blijdorp, was a pioneer of oxygen usage in dentistry. He was one of the first to grasp the healthful qualities of oxygen in this domain and sought to use it as widely as possible. The five key qualities of oxygen were identified by Peter, who called them the 'five pillars'and these remain the foundation of bluem to this day.

Research has shown that nearly all processes in illness can be linked to oxygen deficiency.

Frequently asked questions

Deficiencies in vitamins and minerals greatly increase the chance of getting oral health problems. For example, the chances of gum disease, cavities and implant problems increase if you suffer a lack of vitamins and minerals. By using the right supplements, these deficiencies can be made up and there is a 20% less chance of gum disease and tooth loss and up to 50% less chance of caries.

The products are suitable for children from 3 years. An exception applies to:

  • teeth & bone formula is not suitable for children under 17 years.
  • toothpaste (with and without fluoride), mouthwash, oral foam and mouth spray is not to be used for children under the age of 6.
  • The lactoferrin used in all our products, except mouth spray and oxygen fluid, contains 96% pure cow’s milk protein. In our recipes a very low percentage is processed, which means that the end product contains 500 ppm lactoferrin (500 mg / kg). If you swallow more than 10 grams of end product, this can pose a risk.

The lactoferrin used in all our products, except the mouth spray and oxygen fluid, is made in a factory where lactose is also processed. Therefore, the products may contain traces of lactose. Since only a very low percentage of lactoferrin is added, this does not pose any risk for users who are lactose intolerant .

Originally, the toothpaste had a brown color because of the honey that is one of the ingredients. Research shows us that users of toothpaste can not appreciate a brown toothpaste and would not purchase it. The most commonly used colors for toothpaste are white and blue. Because oxygen is blue in its liquid form, we have chosen this color for our toothpaste. A bonus is that it matches well with our name blue®m.
The coloring that is in the toothpaste and also mouthwash is a natural coloring and is not harmful to the body. The oral gel, mouth spray and oxygen fluid do not contain coloring agents.
