Pacific Island Sandalwood<\/strong> essential oil wordt gemaakt van duurzaam en biologisch geteeld kernhout dat onder fair trade omstandigheden wordt gedistilleerd op het Oceanische eiland Nieuw-Caledoni\u00eb. Sandelhout zaailingen worden gekweekt en later geplant in bossen om 40 of 50 jaar te rijpen voordat ze worden geoogst. Voor elke gekapte boom worden tien jonge bomen geplant voor bosherstel om tegemoet te komen aan de toenemende belangstelling voor sandelhoutolie.<\/p>\n

Dit Vanuatu Sandelhoutras is een mooi alternatief voor het Santalum albumras, dat momenteel milieubescherming behoeft, omdat het opvallend vergelijkbare botanische bestanddelen deelt, waaronder een hoog alfa-santalolgehalte, dat de olie zijn zoete, houtachtige aroma geeft en de huid verzacht en regenereert.
