Balsam Amyris wordt gedistilleerd uit de takken en twijgen van dicht hout met een hoog oliegehalte waardoor het hout helder brandt. In Ha\u00efti, waar de plant inheems is, worden de takken gebruikt als fakkels, vandaar dat een van de gebruikelijke namen voor deze boom Balsam Torchwood is.<\/p>\n

Deze olie is echt aromatherapie – \u00e9\u00e9n druppel baadt de zintuigen in een licht, zoet, houtachtig aroma dat kalmeert, ontspant en verzacht.
