How to make your own Deodorant: A simple Natural Deodorant Recipe

Evolve organic beauty

Deodorant is something that we all use every day, probably without even thinking about it. However, have you ever wondered what your deodorant is actually made of?

One of the most common ingredients found in synthetic deodorants is aluminium salts. These help to block the sweat glands and prevent moisture from reaching the surface of the skin. However, these aluminium salts can irritate those of us with sensitive skin, especially when it comes to delicate areas such as our underarms.

We can put our underarms through a lot, some of us may use some form of underarm hair removal such as shaving or waxing, which can leave the skin more sensitive than usual. Our underarms are also often exposed to our clothes which may rub against the skin, leading to irritation. All of this means that we really need to find a deodorant that solves a number of issues. From helping to minimise sweat and nasty odours, to nourishing and caring for delicate skin.

This is why making the switch to natural deodorants may be the way forward. Natural deodorants often use antibacterial ingredients paired with natural fragrances and skin caring oils and butters to bring you a whole host of benefits.

If you’re looking to experiment and want to try a natural deodorant, why not try making it yourself at home?
