So they\u2019ll prescribe you a corticosteroid cream or ointment.\u2028 Is your skin covered in pimples? You will receive antibiotics to kill the bacteria. \u2028Apart from the fact that antibiotics don\u2019t distinguish between \u2018bad\u2019 and \u2018good\u2019 bacteria, and that because of this the bacteria balance in the whole body is disturbed, there is always the danger of resistance.<\/p>\n<h3>Underlying cause<\/h3>\n<p>More important: it is, in my opinion, a fallacy to look only at the outside of your skin. Although it is related to the presence of demodex mites, these mites occur in almost everyone. \u2028But with people with rosacea they really cause problems; their skin reacts excessively and violently!<\/p>\n<p>Although it\u2019s sometimes useful to disable these \u2018triggers\u2019, it\u2019s perhaps much more useful to make sure that your body reacts less violently. \u2028You should help your skin to strengthen so it can defend itself. \u2028You can do this by restoring the natural balance, for example by hydrating and using anti-inflammatory and barrier-repairing ingredients and products.<br>In many cases it isn\u2019t enough. \u2028Research shows that this exaggerated violent immune response takes place not just in the skin, but in the entire body. And the same research shows that in many cases there\u2019s chronic inflammation in the body.<\/p>\n<h3>Where does that chronic inflammation come from?<\/h3>\n<p>There can be many reasons for a disruption of your immune system balance and the emergence of a chronic state of inflammation, and thus also of problems with your skin. \u2028A wrong diet, antibiotics, overweight, smoking, lack of sleep and a lot of stress can all contribute to this.\u2028 One cause is very interesting. \u2028This cause is your intestine; an imbalance of the good and bad bacteria in the gut (dysbiosis or SIBO) and the so-called \u2018leaky gut syndrome\u2019 can cause a lot of problems. \u2028Over and over again it\u2019s shown that these intestinal problems often occur in people with acne and rosacea.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a complicated story, but when it\u2019s rumbling in your gut, a whole cascade of events can cause your body (and skin) to respond very violently to anything and everything. \u2028Moreover, it can also have an effect on your hormone function, with all its consequences.<br>It\u2019s really worthwhile to think about this, especially since research has shown that after treatment of the bowel the skin also refurbishes. \u2028If you suffer from acne or rosacea, do not just treat your \u201coutside\u201d, but also try to get your \u201cinside\u201d in order again \u2026<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\n<style>\n#section_1179644780 {\n  padding-top: 30px;\n  padding-bottom: 30px;\n}\n<\/style>\n\t<\/section>\n\t\n\n\t<section class=\"section\" id=\"section_82308025\">\n\t\t<div class=\"section-bg fill\" >\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\n\n\t\t<div class=\"section-content relative\">\n\t\t\t\n\n<div class=\"row\"  id=\"row-722494316\">\n\n\n\t<div id=\"col-2096680397\" class=\"col small-12 large-12\"  >\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-inner\"  >\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\n<h3>My tips<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Check your intestines<\/strong><br>If you have skin problems and a lot of bowel problems, then let\u2019s find out if there is an underlying reason for your skin complaints.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nutrition and lifestyle<\/strong><br>Even without intestinal complaints, it may be that your body is in a chronic state of inflammation; whether or not caused by the condition of your gut. \u2028Try to find out if you can restore your body.<\/p>\n<p>\u2028For example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eat a low carbohydrate diet and do not drink alcohol.<\/li>\n<li>For some people, gluten and milk products can be a problem. Try to avoid them for a while to see and feel which effect it has on you.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure adequate sleep, exercise and relaxation<\/li>\n<li>Choose good fats and avoid bad fats. You can possibly take omega-3 fatty acids.<\/li>\n<li>Add enough vegetables and fiber to your diet<\/li>\n<li>If you think that with your current diet and lifestyle you will not get enough vitamins and useful substances, take them extra. \u2028The intake of taking extra vitamin D, <a href=\"\/?p=65970\">probiotics<\/a>, and anti-oxidants can do a lot for your body and skin, they work anti-inflammatory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Take your time<\/strong><br>If you want to try and get things back on track, try this for at least four weeks, but preferably a few weeks longer. In the meantime, make \u201cyour plan of action\u201d for your skin and body. \u2028If you\u2019re serious about this and combine it with a barrier repair and anti-inflammatory skin care plan, I think
