Die Route verbindet elf historische friesische St\u00e4dte \u00fcber Kan\u00e4le, Seen und Wasserwege. Die Veranstaltung kann nur stattfinden, wenn das Eis \u00fcberall entlang der Strecke dick und sicher ist. Und genau das macht sie so besonders: Sie ist nicht planbar.   <\/p>\n<p>Es ist keine j\u00e4hrliche Veranstaltung. Es gibt keinen festen Termin. Keine Garantien. Manchmal findet sie mehrmals innerhalb weniger Jahrzehnte statt, manchmal gar nicht. Diese Unvorhersehbarkeit hat der Elfstedentocht einen fast schon mythischen Status verliehen.    <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"93\" data-end=\"634\">Die Teilnahme an der Elfstedentocht ist begrenzt. Nur eine bestimmte Anzahl von Skatern darf teilnehmen. Um teilnahmeberechtigt zu sein, m\u00fcssen sich die Skater im Voraus anmelden und bestimmte Voraussetzungen erf\u00fcllen. Freizeitl\u00e4ufer m\u00fcssen Mitglieder der Koninklijke Vereniging De Friesche Elf Steden sein und eine g\u00fcltige Eislauflizenz besitzen. Registrierte Teilnehmer erhalten eine offizielle Startkarte, die f\u00fcr den Beginn der Tour und zum Sammeln von Stempeln in jeder der elf St\u00e4dte entlang der Strecke erforderlich ist.    <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"636\" data-end=\"964\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Da die Veranstaltung so selten ist, sind historisch gesehen viele Menschen unabh\u00e4ngig davon nach Friesland gereist. W\u00e4hrend die genaue Route von einer Ausgabe zur anderen aufgrund der Eisbedingungen leicht variieren kann, \u00e4ndern sich die St\u00e4dte selbst nie. W\u00e4hrend der Elfstedentocht sind die Bedingungen selten perfekt. Die Teilnehmer k\u00f6nnen mit Folgendem konfrontiert werden:  <\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>starker Gegenwind<\/li>\n<li>Schnee auf dem Eis<\/li>\n<li>Risse und raue Oberfl\u00e4chen<\/li>\n<li>extreme K\u00e4lte<\/li>\n<li>Ersch\u00f6pfung und Kr\u00e4mpfe<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Deshalb ist die Elfstedentocht nicht nur eine sportliche Herausforderung, sondern auch eine mentale. >\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\n<p><strong>Nicht nur f\u00fcr Elite-Skater<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Obwohl professionelle Rennfahrer viel Medienaufmerksamkeit erhalten, sind die meisten Teilnehmer Freizeitl\u00e4ufer. Gew\u00f6hnliche Menschen, die m\u00f6glicherweise monate- oder sogar jahrelang trainiert haben, oft mit nur einem Ziel: f\u00fcr den Rest ihres Lebens sagen zu k\u00f6nnen: \u201eIch bin die Elfstedentocht gelaufen.\u201c <\/p>\n<p>Die Geschichte der Elfstedentocht<br>Der Anfang<\/p>\n<p>Die erste offizielle Elfstedentocht fand 1909 statt. Es wurde schnell klar, dass dies kein gew\u00f6hnliches Sportereignis war. Die Kombination aus Natur, Distanz und regionalem Stolz zog massive Aufmerksamkeit auf sich. Friesland stand im Mittelpunkt, aber das ganze Land schaute zu.   <\/p>\n<p>Seitdem wurde die Tour nur 15 Mal durchgef\u00fchrt.
